Grantham Coates Surveys have considerable experience of carrying out river surveys. Many river projects also incorporate work within the railway environment; for example scour protection surveys for railway bridge structures over watercourses. Other examples include topographic surveys for drainage schemes, scour protection surveys, culvert and headwall surveys and survey work associated with flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling of water catchment areas. Survey work is also carried out for flood alleviation schemes and flood recovery schemes.

Data can be provided in a range of industry standard formats. Often our river surveys are used by specialist engineers who use the data to create hydraulic models for use in designing flood defences etc..

We have carried out many surveys for the Environment Agency with data prepared and provided to their detailed standard specification.
